Lake Martin Signs on with Seven Members

Terre Haute Indiana came in a close second!

A Tale of Two Cities..OK OK, a Lake and a City.

Members join AVYC from all over. In a few instances we see a pattern of several members from one geographical location. This is the story of two of those locations!.

LAKE MARTIN, ALABAMA

Over the summer they joined one by one. Each independent of one another but having in common the love of one Favorite Body of Water (f.b.w.) Lake Martin in Alabama.

There is Jo from Eclectic, AL who has a 20ft Crownline Deck Boat and who also happens to have a web page with a link to Lake Martin . http://community.webtv.net/jolighthouse/Welcomeaboard

Jef from Jackson Gap, AL is a retired prison warden living on Lake Martin. He has several boats, pontoon, bass boat, row boat, wave runner, Hobie Cat just to name a few!!

Then there is Rex and Donna who have a cabin on lake Martin. They, with their sons enjoy the water, boating, skiing and tubing.

Larry and his family from Alexander City have three boats and not only like Lake Martin but also the Gulf of Mexico and the oceans!

Les also from Alexander City also has several boats! Hum, I wonder if they are related?

Wolf from Goodwater AL and Andy (Lovers of the water) who also joined and we are glad to have them.

TERRE HAUTE, INDIANA

The next closest number of Members is Terre Haute Indiana with four members this year. They joined as a result of their informing each other of our site.

First joining was John who found our site from a link on another site.I've meant to ask john what site that was. If you read this John send me an Email. John has a 1951 Lonestar Cruiser which he spent two years restoring. He uses it on the Wabash and Ohio River. John also coincidentally won one of our monthly drawings!

Then came Rick a lover of the water. Someone told him about the site. I wonder who that was?

After Rick, Steven joined. He has a 25 ft Lonestar Cabin Cruiser and has logged thousands of miles on the Wabash, Ohio and Mississippi Rivers!

Tom also joined our yacht club because someone told him about our site. He has a 19 ft Starwind floating on Lake Monroe. Once a year he and three others take the boat to FL and just have fun!

It wouldn't take much to pass Lake Martin, Terre Haute. Only three to tie and four to pass!

My thanks to all these fine members for joining the All Volunteer Yacht Club!
