Hi Capt Jim:

I thoroughly enjoy your newsletter and website. Watching you grow and improve your site over the past two years has been a real pleasure. I have passed on the link to your site to all of the members in our Shuswap Squadron, which is part of the Western Canadian Inland District (WCID) of the 40,000 + membership Canadian Power & Sail Squadrons.

Members of our Squadron do most of their boating on the Shuswap Lakes system with its 1000 km of inviting shoreline, public parks and sandy beaches. The Shuswap is nestled in the mountains of the stunningly beautiful interior of British Columbia. Come see us.

We would love to show you our unique and truly beautiful part of the world. Visit our WCID website at http://wcid.cps-ecp.org/index.htm

Wishing you all a Safe and enjoyable Boating Season.

Hi folks,

Lost american living in Germany with a boat in Holland. f.b.w is the Ijssel Meer (Holland) and the North Sea. Since it's so cold though, I'm looking forward to the Canary Islands and Madeira. I have an old Dutch 33 ft. sail boat. I normally sail alone (don't want to be responsible for others) but I'm rethinking the issue for some of the longer trips on the North Sea and through the English Channel.

Need to finish doing some repair work on the boat after having gotten caught in a bad storm off the coast of Suffolk, England. First time (with this boat) in 27 ft waves and force 8 winds which caused me to run for the Dutch coast. Unfortunately missed the harbor, but picked a sandy beach (still not recommended) to land on. There's something to be said for sturdy steel hulls.

You have a great site from what I can see. Ran into you during a yahoo search for yacht clubs. I'm a member of the German Sailing Association, but have never been in an American club. Hope you'll accept me.
Thanks

My name is Tom. I have 2 kayaks; one sit inside and one sit on top. I kayak at the Redondo Beach King Harbor Marina in Southern California several times a week. I usually go out into the Santa Monica bay between Redondo Beach Harbor and Palos Verdes Point alone that is out in open ocean water. I have a web at WWW.geocities.com/ that tells about my photography. I am currently looking for a maritime type job near redondo beach either to work aboard a vessle, dock, or marina. I have a sailors heart and will be writing more about this on my web with in the next few weeks.

We love put her in the water at grand lake, ok. where we purchased her. My husband thinks I have a third baby now. We found your site by pulling up funny jokes about boating. I have an 18ft. 1994 Marada run-about. I love it! I have always loved the water and camping. But just to go out riding around on the boat is my thing. My friends think I'm crazy. I mostly do all of my boating in Kentucky... Nolin Lake is my favorite. I found this site by searching the web trying to find other boat enthusiasts like myself.
