William I have a 2000 2855 bayliner and boat from Branford Ct. We cruise extensively in the long island sound and have been to montauk,Block Island, Sag Harbor, Port Jeff, hunnington harbor, and many mant more places. My wife and I's best vacation ever was a week spent in sag harbor yacht club-sag harbor ny. We went exploring with rented bikes through shelter island and up to greenport. I found this site from the magazineoffshore. Cheers, Bill Sunday, March 24, 2002 at 15:18:05 |

honeybunny26 I have always been fasinated with the Ocean, so naturally I love to cruise the Ocean, but I also love recreational family cruises here in Maryland, where I live and also sailing on the Chesapeake and Potomac. I stumbled upon you here on an Internet Search Engine, while looking for something else. I am glad I did..LOLOLOL Monday, March 18, 2002 at 14:55:14 _________________________________________________________ We are glad you found us too! Jim |

Harry My "other half," Kathy, found the site. I am a power boater (currently have 30' cabin cruiser at Jack London Square, Oakland), and my dream boat that I am planning in detail will be a 131' yacht to sail around the world for education and peace. (All I need is the money, but I am planning the yacht down to the last detail it AS IF the money will come.) Kathy calls it a dream. I call it a plan. Saturday, March 16, 2002 at 19:36:18 _________________________________________________________ Sure sounds like a plan to me Harry! Of course until you execute it's still a dream right Kathy?....I'm such a Woos! 30 years of marriage will do that to you Harry. Go for that boat! Jim |

Craig My Motto is " Gotta Love Boating" I have a 37' Searay Sundancer and we Boat on the Long Island Sound from Oyster Bay out to Block Island. We like to start out early and cruise to a spot that we may or may not spend the night there. Crusing and sitting back and enjoying the water-- there's nothing better. I found your web site from boating Mag. write up. |

Ken We live in the Albany, NY area and boat on the Hudson River. We own a 1979 24' Carver Montego and dock at Coeyman's Landing Marina which is a great place with equally nice people about ten miles south of Albany. I personally enjoy fishing (GREAT Striped Bass fishing in spring). The family (wife and 2 kids) enjoy afternoons playing on the water and weekend trips on the river and NYS Canal System. You can find me on the Boater Ed website (Hudson River Cruiser's Forum) that Bill mentioned and also on the Boating on the Hudson web site message board I found the club while searching the web and the write up in Offshore Magazine promped me to come back and join. |

Bill I've owned two boats, a 1980 21 ft Sea Ray Cuddy, and the present 1990 233 XXL Regal Ambassador slipped at Pennybridge Marina, Stoney Point, NY. I boat mostly in the Hudson River. I am looking for other boaters who like to cruise. I cruise mostly alone because the wife isn't into boating. I can't wait for spring! BOATING ISN'T A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH, IT'S MORE IMPORTANT! Monday, March 11, 2002 at 18:26:05 Update: I found this site from a friend at I see there's a lot of users from my area! That's good. Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at 04:58:39 |

Bob I am a long time (50+ plus years) boater who boats primarily on Lake Erie with a 23 ft. Baha Cruisers Sportfisherman. I also have a 16 1/2 ft Grumman center-console with a Evinrude outboard for trailering to inland lakes in addition to use on Lake Erie. I have boated all up and down the Intra-Coastal and portions of the Gulf. Also some inland lakes in Florida and New York. How I found the AVYC was a pure bumble. I was looking for a link to the Scuttlebutt Y.C. and saw a Link to your organization. It sounds interesting, and I hope that it works out O.K. Sunday, March 10, 2002 at 19:21:32 |
