Found your webp in boating mag. We have a Maxum 2800 SCR and boat on the Neuse River and ICW. We like to take friends out, especially those who don't boat. We like to hang out and just enjoy the water. We like to cruise. I am a retired Mustang Naval Officer who at last is back on the water. Our boat is at North West Creek Marine in Fairfield Harbour near New Bern, N.C. FFH is a great retirement community with plenty of room for others. Nice club, nice pools, nice golf courses and surperb Marine. Submit1: Submit Survey to the All Volunteer Yacht Club / Posted - Monday, July 2, 2001 |

| AVYC Member: Linda I enjoy boating on the Delta. I've spent years water skiing but these days I just love to cruise & explore. I lost the "big" boat in the divorce and I currently own a smaller ski boat but plan on buying something larger next year. I have been a boat owner of some sort for the last 20 years. To be without a boat is like being without a car. I found your club on goggle.com by accident....but glad that I found you. / Posted - Wednesday, May 16, 2001 ___________________________________________________________ We are glad you did too Linda! Thanks Jim. |

Nora Homeport is Elizabeth City, NC, home of the Rose Buddies, and the famous Wine & Cheese Parties for cruising boater, EC has free dockspace for the transit boaters and they can stay for 2 nights of Southern Hospitality. We now sail the Pasquotank River and Tthe Albemarle Sound. We are busy getting our boat Seafever ready to cruise ourselves. Seafever is a traditional Ketch thought to be desined by Hugh Angleman, are trying to research the design however, were told that she was a Sea Witch, but have since decided that was not true am looking for info so that we can acertain her true design heritage. She was built in Vietnam in 1968 and she is ALL teak, however she was glassed below the waterline when she was built . Sailing Seafever is the joy of our lives, the learning curve for keeping our wood BRIGHT has resulted in us keeping with all varnish as the other high tech stuff looks as if it is just as labor intensive, without the true beauty of varnish. Found the site from internet link thru Duckworks Magazine. Look forward to enjoying this site. I enjoy the interaction of others who are experiencing the same questions, problems or successes. / Posted - Thursday, May 10, 2001 ______________________________________________________ Wow! Thanks Nora for sharing your story. That was fun! Jim |
