Question: What is the difference between a
4-5-4 calendar and a 4-4-5 calendar?

Our Answer: The difference has to do with the accounting method and the way one breaks up the 13 week quarters.

Both calendars create 52 perfect weeks (53 in a leap year). The only difference is the 4-5-4 calendar starts in February (4 wks), March has 5 weeks, April has 4 weeks and so on...

The 4-4-5 Calendar's fiscal year starts in January.

Comment: If you want a retail calendar but seasonal / inventory fluctuations are not in play you will probably want to use a 4-4-5 Calendar .

Our 4-4-5 Calendar can be found on the following pages

Check With Your Accountant ! There are specific IRS rules regarding these calendars if used in your accounting system.
